Hmong Home Stretch Education Workshops

This is an eight (8) hour workshop that is required by some lenders and Minnesota Housing Finance Angecy (MHFA) loan products. However, we also accept voluntary participants who wants to learn more about the home buying process.

*Individuals should check with their loan officers for information regarding requirement.

Group education workshops will educate individuals about the home buying process and help them determine the financial ability to purchase.

Workshop Topics Include:

§  Understanding the Responsibilities of Homeownership

 

§  Developing a Budget and Improving Credit

 

§  Determining Financial Affordability

 

§  The Process of Obtaining a Loan  and Shopping for a home

Free individual counseling sessions are available that includes housing needs assessment, financial assessment, credit review, and implementation of an action plan to reach individual housing goals.
